Tomonori (Tom) Someya (일본)

Tomonori (Tom) Someya joined DSCC as Director of Display Research in May 2021. Tom has 17 years of experience in the flat panel display (FPD) industry research.

After studying marketing at Eastern Oregon University, Tom joined Techno Systems Research (TSR) in 2004, with responsibility for research on FPD and FPD materials, specifically polarizer film. He has published many market reports and spoke about the market on many occasions in seminars internally and externally.

In 2011, after seven years at TSR, he joined one of the world’s largest polarizer film supplier firms, as a marketing research and strategy planning manager. Tom lives in Tokyo, Japan, and enjoys long distance running and reading books. He can be reached at [email protected].
